Mr. Koehr is Managing General Partner of Sorin Angel Capital, LLC, an early-stage venture capital firm. He has also remained active as an entrepreneur and real estate investor himself after leaving the corporate world in 2001 to fly without a net.

Mr. Koehr received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration on Nuclear Engineering, with honors, from the University of Notre Dame (1985). He also received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Darden Graduate School of Business, University of Virginia (2013) and Executive MBA Class Certifications from Wharton School, Emory, Sloan and Michigan. Jim has been married to his wife Colleen for 35 years, is the father of 12 children and the grandfather of 10. He has been the Seton School Varsity Swimming Coach since 2001 where has won eight (8) VISAA (Virginia Independent Schools) Division II State Championships, 34 conference championships, two VISAA Coach of the Year awards and 14 Conference Coach of the Year of awards. Jim is an avid student of the American Civil War and American history in general. He is an Ironman Triathlon finisher (Lake Placid, NY), 6-time Marathon finisher, 12- time Triathlon finisher. He completed the 24-hour Navy SEAL Adventure Challenge and has swum across the Chesapeake Bay. Well past 50 years old now, Jim has transitioned from endurance athlete to an avid hiker who enjoys few things more than finding a quiet mountain-top location to read his latest book on American History.
